Dear Ed.,
Don't miss the managerie by the Schonbrunn. It is the best I ever saw. I felt like buying it for Fr. Joe's zoology class - but could not figure out how to get it over. Received my passport without the least trouble. The Russian counsel asked me whether if I was the man, and what my religion was before he visaed it. We saw all of the city worth while with the exception of museums and government buildings. We were on our legs from 6 a.m. till 9 p.m. Regards,
Jaekels

You need not expect my Meldungsbuch [report book], my friend said I should keep it with me. We had a coupe all alone from Salzburg to here, Mr. Nowakowski had blankets, so we had all the chances in the world to snore like bricks. Will leave tonight about 9 - hope will have the same luck. We stayed by the Polish priests. Tell yourself, Fr. Murphy, Hyland, and Gilly that Goldene Ente I. Riemergasse is the best hotel I could figure out.
M.J.
