From the Spencer Advocate, Spencer, Nebraska, 20 Aug 1908, Page 5:
“Rev. John A. Nepper, who recently completed his theological studies at Innsbruck, Austria, celebrated his first Solemn Mass at St. Mary’s church in Spencer, Neb., on Wednesday, Aug. 19.

Father Nepper began his classical studies in St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minn., from there he went to St. Paul’s Seminary and completed his philosophical course and one year of divinity.
Having a desire to go abroad to complete his studies, and obtaining the necesarry permission from his Bishop, he spent the last three years in Innsbruck, Austria, where he was ordained to the priesthood on July 26th.”
