I saved this photo of Joseph about 20 years ago and unfortunately cannot recall or find the source.

“Josef Zeyen (Czeyen) was born in Föhren near Trier in Germany on 1.1.1883. His father Josef Z., a machinist (“Ingenieur”), emigrated to the United States and lived at Spokane, Washington D.C..
Josef Zeyen was – like Schimberg – student of the St.Lawrence College, before he studied in Innsbruck from 1903 to 1906, later on Zeyen studied in Roma/Italy.
Zeyen was catholic pastor in Dubuque-St.Mary Church/USA since 1928 und died in 1947.” – Courtesy of Peter Goller, Universitätsarchiv Innsbruck

Served at Sacred Heart, Meyer, Iowa for one year in 1916.
