Rec'd letter containing cheque for 400 kronen from Rev. A. Garthaus today. It was sent by Garthaus through his friend Rev. Kommers. Contents of letter is as, to sense as follows: Best wishes for joyful trip & recommends himself to your pious prayers during your pilgrimage, likewise Rev. Kommers. Don't forget to get some nails at St. Croce at Rome. Rev. Kommers would like to have one. Rev. Garthaus would appreciate it very highly if you could get a toties quoties cross for him. That's everything that he has in his letter. It was forwarded from Kaukauna whither he went with Rev. Kommers who was with him when he wrote. He rec'd your letter an hour before he wrote. Rec'd likewise the card for you from Rev. Stump bearing news which undoubtedly would have been useful to you perhaps. Rex will be gone from this afternoon until Monday. Jack will make rig one of these days we believe Monday ber[?]. the Rex will be back for a rig Monday afternoon. Nothing else of special interest has happened except that Haffner wants to make Cura & they don't want to accept it, hence salary. Regards to all. Yours,
